RSVP Volunteer Opportunities

We have many openings for Retired Senior Volunteers in a variety of settings. A sampling of RSVP services....

  • Tutor adults and children
  • Deliver meals or books to the homebound
  • Fill orders at area food pantries
  • Teach computers to seniors
  • Visit nursing home residents
  • Sew lap robes, bibs and gowns for nursing home residents and the homebound
  • Sing and play musical instruments
  • Work in libraries -- shelving books, entering data or holding book sales
  • Staff the hospital gift shops and information desks
  • Knit or crochet items for needy babies and children
  • Prepare bulk mailings for nonprofits
  • Help at bloodmobiles
  • Staff the Angel Trees
  • Wrap gifts
  • Help with activities at nursing and retirement homes
  • Read to children
  • Mentor youth
  • Repair homes and build ramps
  • Help in offices
  • Transport people to the doctor, treatments, the grocery, etc.
  • Help in preschools and Headstart
  • Bookkeeping
  • Keep our parks clean and manicured
  • Call shut-ins
